Going for a cruise has always been a form of therapy to me, and I've had many memorable experiences and made life long friends while owning a Subaru WRX. From meeting a crew of Japanese car enthusiasts in a McDonald's car park and starting a car meet brand, to repairing stranger's cars on the side of the road at midnight on Christmas Day.

I've always been drawn to the craftsmanship of JDM sports vehicles and the passion of the community. Driving up my local mountain late at night, I've always seemed to zone out of my mind and truly be in the present enjoying the drive.

This artwork signifies my 'ultimate drive'. My dream car, the Nissan R34 GTR, along the dream road for all Japanese car enthusiasts, the Izu Skyline toll road, with a special friend in the passenger seat. This piece continues to remind me of the feeling I'm chasing of ultimate peace, focusing on the journey along the road and hearing nothing but exhaust noises and the Initial D soundtrack.
